REGIONAL MATERNAL HEALTH NETWORK KICKOFF MEETING

Dr. Roger Marshall Keynote Speaker

The United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) recently awarded a $100,000 HRSA-20-026 Rural Health Network Development Planning Grant to establish a Regional Maternal Health Network in Northwest Kansas. As part of this grant, area hospitals, clinics, health departments, EMS providers, doctors, and community organizations and leaders are invited to a kickoff meeting scheduled for Monday, September 21, 2020, from 8 am to 4 pm central time at the City Limits in Colby, Kansas.

As part of this kickoff meeting, U.S. Representative Dr. Roger Marshall, a 25-year practicing OB/GYN from Great Bend, KS, will be the keynote speaker to start the day. Travis Rickford, Executive Director of LiveWell NW Kansas, will facilitate the day, which also includes presentations from representatives of the Kansas Health Institute in Topeka, KS and the Kansas Leadership Center in Wichita, KS.

The goal of this project is to improve maternal and infant health outcomes in Northwest Kansas through the development of an integrated rural health network that will enhance the quality and availability of coordinated obstetric services. If you would like to be a part of this collaborative effort and participate in the kickoff meeting, please RSVP at https://bit.ly/2YlKaoi by September 16th.

Due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic and to protect all registrants and presenters, as part of this kickoff meeting, we will adhere to social distancing and hand hygiene protocols, with a recommendation to bring your mask.

This project is supported by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as part of an award totaling $100,000 with 10 percent financed with non-governmental sources. The contents are those of the author(s) and do not necessarily represent the official views of, nor an endorsement, by HRSA, HHS, or the U.S. Government.
